Does anyone have any info on what it's like to camp at the North Beach Campground? Is there a good chance of getting one of the walk-up spots on Friday?

Wondering the same thing. Anyone? Kirk, seems you mentioned that one of the campgrounds was not good. Can't remember which.amir wrote:Does anyone have any info on what it's like to camp at the North Beach Campground? Is there a good chance of getting one of the walk-up spots on Friday?
We'd love to be able to camp the Syncro somewhere and be able to drive up the beach to the event.

This looks interesting but it's kind of far---do people typically drive down and back in the same day? Obviously, based on the above posts, there are some campers, but if you don't camp, are there convenient places to stay overnight? What is the average cost for this (i.e., overnight accommodations)?

Re: Pismo Kitexpo: Vendor update, prizes, new lodging offers
Pismo is 3.5 hours from the Bay area and Los Angeles. It is a tourist area with lots of hotels ranging from budget to luxury. You can stay at 1-2 star hotel starting at $51 per night (I like non view rooms at Sea Gypsy starting at $69 (can walk to everything downtown by pier), litewave Dave has a house with two rooms left at $100 per night, or Oxford Suites has offered King bed rooms for $99 per night when you mention Kitexpo. For those looking for something a bit nicer, Sea Venture has offered 10% off their rooms when you mention Kitexpo as well. Just run a search on hotels.com, priceline.com or any number of hotel booking websites and you will see your options. Also www.classiccalifornia.com is the website for Pismo with lodging descriptions there as well. Hope you can make it!
