North Bay isn't so bad... ^^^ check out Dillon, Stinson, and Ocean beach. As the season progresses the east bay (Marina Bay, Racetrack, Berkeley, etc) will start to fire constantly 5 days a week. Depending on where you are in the North Bay there are a few local spots that fire on SW days... and of course Crissy. Have fun getting adjusted to the water quality. :mrgreen:sc-surfer wrote:I'm sorry. :-)alohakite808 wrote:I just moved to the North Bay,

Thanks for the replies! And yes, I am gonna have to get used to the cold water! :o
I'm living in Vallejo, I know, I know, why Vallejo?? Going to school here for a few years, then it's back to Oahu. I haven't bought a wetsuit yet, seems like the water is in the 50s year around....thinking of a 4/3 but wasn't sure if I could get away with a 3/2. I've only ever had a wetsuit for diving, any suggestions on brands or thicknesses

I would go with the 4/3 mate ... 3/2 for you is probably going to feel really cold
Wetsuit brands typically range in fit success depending on body type because of different waist : chest ratios, shoulder cuts & varying fit through legs / seat... size for size between brands. The best idea would be to get out to some shops and give a couple different makes a go
I am also hoping Chris gets on this thread as he can give you the scoop on Benicia which could be a good spot for you locally
Welcome to the Bay
