Saw this on the webcam yesterday, and was surprised I didn't see anything on SF Chronicle. Last time there was that big of a plume was the Chevron refinery fire.

guess not Yoda.. good too, if it were bigger it would imply it can fit more people. don't want to think about that happening +*!@

Which webcam?
I was checking out the ABC local cams to try and see if there was any wind/caps over by TP, and then saw the plume on one of the north-facing cams.

OK, thanks. I thought maybe I'd missed a new Sherman webcam.

That's what I was thinking too. Bigger doesn't mean better in this case.
I think Sloughslut was right... it looks like it was on the Kitopia island. The fire dept. doesn't know how it was started though. First reports said it was a controlled burn, but that was not the fact.
