DIY Slider Bar

Anyone tried doing this?

Looks like a quick way to get a slider bar. Anyone race with a dyna bar or something simliar? Getting the pull out in front must help a little with upwind angles.

I've been using a dynabar for a little over three years, yeah they are a lot of fun. It works great for my setup, seat harness + dynabar, don't have as much pressure on my back when riding toe side.

I tried the rope setup but did not like it compared to the sliding steel design. The rope stretches and I have to pay attention to it on a regular basis.

The wave bar might be the best setup. Many feel freestyle bar is too mechanical and not a smooth transition / slide.

Less user friendly with converting seat harness' s but it can be done with mods.

Works well with short harness's.

Dynabar is not rocket science, but may be much more refined than homemade.

Interested? Give me a shout for a demo.

yeah, i do a version of that. just attach some climbing rope to either side of the bar and use one of the clips from an old kite leash as the attachment method to your chicken loop. I leave the bar stock (with the hook), because that way I can choose between:

1. slider engaged
2. no slider, can do unhooked for freestyle
3. slider engaged AND hooked in for launching/landing boosting big air

i can do all of those in the same session with no need to come in and change my setup.
