Alameda Afternoon Jan 11th?

Post by jzderm » Thu Jan 10, 2013 4:11 pm

Fingers crossed - planning on making it out to Alameda in the early PM with my 13m. Anyone else going? Winds 10-15mph, partly sunny, and coming off an 8ft high tide at 11am.

The front looks really coastal - beach is a better bet afternoon or maybe even 3rd in the evening just before sundown. The forecast for Alameda is looking pretty weak... :-\

Took the advice and hit 3rd ave instead. It was cold but fun - i was the only kiter out there yesterday afternoon. 2 windsurfers made it out with me. 15-17mph and sunny.

The setting sun was warm yesterday. Not sure I could do overcast session with this temp though... ($

I have 3mm Hyperflex http://www.wetsuitwearhouse.com/page/WW ... QgodbUYA8A

I have used them at Waddel and at Alameda (the rain storm a week before the New Year). You have pretty decent tactile feedback in them.
