Second Hand Boards

Post by ozchrisb » Mon Dec 10, 2012 11:43 am

What's the oldest second hand board you would consider being a reasonable purchase? I saw a 2011 Naish board on CL but reviews seem to suggest it was pretty out of date. I know that the newer boards are going to have new features, but for a cruising guy who might race occasionally what are you looking for?

Get a newer style 3 fin board. I believe Calikites has one or two for sale used in the SF store.

Here's the CL board:

Looks like it's going to be lower volume and slightly narrower than the new boards?

Yah that looks like a great starter setup at a killer price. Just make sure the board does have holes in it or leak water. Other than that you should be all set for that. Not the top competitive board but excellent for light wind cruising and exploring.

The back doesn't have the 3 foot strap setup but not sure if you need a center strap on that board.
Could be added
