So, can anyone give suggestions on where/how to get good forecast info for Alameda and 3rd for this weekend? I know about the NOAA forecasts, but they don't have quite the detail to let me know if it's worth the 1 hr trip or not.

In the absence of regular wind patterns/ikite, what's the best way to know where and when to show up to catch storm winds?

Like a lotta folks, I work during the week, so weekend storm kiting is all I got!

3rd is only north-west winds. South is no good there.

Well, flags are flying but no white caps from what I can see on the cam.
Sensors are reading 7kts at the beach and 12kts at the USS hornet.

I was the only one out at Alameda around 8:30 this morning riding the front on my 11m as it came though; things died out around 10, so I packed up and took off.

Good breakfast!
