A little too early to tell, but thursday is looking good.
GFS, and NAM are agreeing on northwest stormy wind.

Northwest storm winds, is that normal? Seems like the rain shouldn't be too bad and won't arrive till late Thursday, wind should be here in the morning. Maybe I'll get out to watch some amazing wave riding... damn I can't wait to do that next season.

Not really normal. But yes, I've been riding on rainy stormy wind from the north west at 3rd ave even. My rule of thumb is: never get too far from shore since storm wind can die or ramp up really fast.

OR change offshore to the southwest. Have fun landing at Alameda 3 hours later. How does Alameda usually react to a Northwest storm? I know it usually has a pretty good chance from the west to south.

It usually blows on shore and gets REALLY up and down.
But I'm sure the A-towners will have more to chime in on this subject than me.

kinda a funky forecast, i have to agree.

WED - Sunny & Calm turning to up and down storm winds, timing of the storm is critical. Low Teens. Glow Stix and 17's.
THURS - EARLY storm NW winds. VERY up and down, chances of Teens to low 20's at select sites. Call in sick and grab your 9m.
FRI - If clearing winds come Friday may be the best of the days. The Beach, Bodega, Third, and Alameda all have chances of being upper teens to low 20's. Winds dying off in the afternoon so get it while you can. SUPER LOW CONFIDENCE FORECAST
