No kite footage but still one hell of a video. Think I'm gonna have to pick one of these up soon.

Was checking out differences between #1, #2, and the now the #3 gopro. Main upgrade in this latest incarnation is that it has built in wifi, whereas in the Hero, or #2 model, the camera comes with a wifi backpack that you actually have to attach.

Does simultaneous photo + video, that's pretty amazing. I also really want to give that 12MP 30 shot burst mode a go. I wonder if the battery life is about the same.

Here's a pre-order deal: http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/Slickdea ... thread.php

This video tech jargon is all new to me.
12MP 30 shot burst mode
12 megapixels is 12 million pixels + additional digital sensors, higher the number of pixels, the better the image

30 shot burst mode: Burst mode (also known as Continuous mode) is a setting found in many digital cameras that allows the photographer to capture several images by holding down the shutter button. Burst mode is used in sports photography, photojournalism, and any other form of photography where the subject is constantly changing position or expression. After capturing a set of images, the photographer is able to either choose the best image from the sequence, combine them into one image using software (see below), or put the sequence of images next to each other as a set. Burst mode can also be used for capturing a set of images for High dynamic range imaging (HDR).
