Once again the best race committee in the world steps up to the plate and invites the kiteboading class to another regatta.

FALL DINGHY & OLYMPIC CLASSES REGATTA
St. Francis Yacht Club
October 20-21, 2012

NOTICE OF RACE
1. RULES
1.1 The regatta will be governed by The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS), as modified by this Notice of Race and the Sailing Instructions.
1.2 RRS 40 is changed by deleting “When flag Y is displayed with one sound before or with the warning signal,”.
2. ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY
2.1 The following classes are invited to participate: 29er, 49er/49erFX, 420, 5O5, Finn, Laser 4.7, Laser Radial, Laser Standard, Moth, Kiteboard, Windsurfer, and Weta.
2.2 Eligible boats may enter by completing the online entry form at www.stfyc.com. Entries must be received by October 17, 2012 in to take advantage of the discounted entry fee.
2.3 Fleets must have six boats registered by October 17 to qualify for a class start.
3. FEES
3.1 For singlehanded classes, entry fee is $55 if received by October 17, 2012.
3.2 For doublehanded classes, entry fee is $80 if received by October 17, 2012.
3.3 For triplehanded classes, entry fee is $105 if received by October 17, 2012.
3.4 A late fee of $25 will be assessed to all entries received after October 17, 2012.
4. SCHEDULE
4.1 Late Registration: Saturday, October 20 from 0930 hours to 1000 hours.
4.2 Racing will be held on Saturday, October 20 & Sunday, October 21.
4.3 Six races are scheduled in the series, with three on Saturday and three on Sunday.
4.4 The scheduled time of the Warning Signal for the first race each day is 1130 hours. A Sailors’ Meeting
will be held at 1000 hours on Saturday, October 20.
4.5 Participants and their guests are welcome to attend a social on Saturday evening and a trophy ceremony
following the conclusion of racing on Sunday
5. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
The Sailing Instructions will be available at the StFYC Official Regatta Notice Board on Saturday, October 20,
while an unofficial copy may be found on the StFYC website prior to that date.
6. RACING AREA
The intended race area will be set on the City Front and the western face of Alcatraz utilizing inflatable marks.
7. SCORING
7.1 One race will constitute a series.
7.2 If fewer than five races are completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores. If five or more races are been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score.
8. BOAT & TRAILER STORAGE
All yachts competing in the event may be stored free of charge at StFYC one night prior to the beginning of racing and one night after racing concludes. If you plan on leaving a trailer in the City parking lot, an overnight parking permit must be obtained from the StFYC Front Desk. Trailers without a city permit may be towed. All boats & trailers should be stored at the direction of the StFYC Dock Master.
9. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
Competitors shall participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk (see Rule 4, DECISION TO RACE). The
organizing authority does not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death
sustained in conjunction with, prior to, during, or after the regatta.
