Re: KSP Contest, aka "Kite Strapless Pro"Looks like we have the makings of a carpool. Who's in?
Re: KSP Contest, aka "Kite Strapless Pro"Don't forget about the NSI foothooks
I guess I will never be pro since I am the only one using them
Re: KSP Contest, aka "Kite Strapless Pro"You can take away my foot straps when you pry them off my cold dead feet!
Re: KSP Contest, aka "Kite Strapless Pro"
i'd wager you're much more likely to be prying a leash off cold dead feet than straps anyway
Re: KSP Contest, aka "Kite Strapless Pro"I like the move toward strapless. But so far, competition wave kiting is pretty boring for me. (I'm sure Paul thinks the same thing about the PKRA ha ha)
When I watch ASP world tour, I get to see some great surfing, but I love the aerials. air reverse, rodeo flip etc. Just watching some kiters do a bunch of turns on a wave gets kinda boring (to me) after a while. Given that we've got people landing strapless handlepasses, strapless front rolls, shuvits, kickflips...I'd love to see these pro guys mix it up and do some of that stuff too. Seems a bit sad that the non competition pros (rebstock, Ian A. etc) are doing more exciting and difficult stuff than the guys who compete. Liquid Force Kites/Boards

Re: KSP Contest, aka "Kite Strapless Pro"There is nothing better when the city gets too hectic than grabbing 1 or 2 of your buddies and just escaping on a last minute extended weekend chasing wind and waves somewhere out in the South Pacific
A drawback to the competition scene imo - brings pressure to something that for some is the getaway I can understand why a very talented rider might pass
KSP Contest, aka "Kite Strapless Pro"Surfing for some 25 years + now and I've never really been in to comp surfing. Same for kiting. I'd rather see some unknown ripping it up and having fun than a bunch of 'pros' being forced to surf within the confines of a contest. But that's just me.
