Sounds almost as clean as toll plaza.
Really? Treated Sewage is in every part of the bay we swim in diluted crap daily!
Here is the San Mateo and west bay sewage treatment plants map! The outfall from all 5 treatment plants are directly upwind of third ave in an area with minimal pacific current flow!

Compare that to the outfall from 1 oakland/north east bay plant all the way by Yerba Buena ISl and in a channel with pacific tidal current.(Zoom in on interactive map)

No worries, just joking... the whole bay area is all crap anyway.
Pond A4... toll plaza... 3rd ave... it doesn't matter, just don't drink the water.

Dontfeedthenerd,
Did you ever get the results from the water test?

Cool - had guessed it was RPSkater. Was tempted to come back and join you. Unfortunately commuting by bike and carrying gear are mutually exclusive for me, and the chance it might blow there not often worth sitting in traffic.

Next time I'll know to look for that growth on your shoulder!

Got the results back. Posting the one interesting page:

https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B6JaN- ... EpVcWI3TXc

Unfortunately, it doesn't tell us too much. It tells us that both E.coli and Coliform bacteria were found, but nothing on the concentration. Sorry, I really thought the report would tell us more.

On the other hand it does tell us what metals were detected.

A blue circle means: A contaminant was detected above the min detection level but not above the referenced standard.

The yellow triangle means, the contaminant was detected above the standard.

The standard in this case being drinking water.

All in all, this doesn't really tell us that much about the water quality. This was a 6 page pdf with a lot of stuff in it. I just posted the "interesting page", considering nothing else other than Chloride and Sulfates were even detected. Please feel free to PM me for the full attachment.

Sorry for all the hubub, which ended up not really amounting to much.
