Question, for an experienced rider new to the bay area is this a good weekend to go and meet the Sherman Island crew?

Any helpful soul out there want to pm me some decent directions to the spot?
Rock and roll!!!

Definitely! Forecast is looking good.

I just sent this to the guys in the band last night:
http://goo.gl/maps/2lfra
(click the "Directions" link for Turn by Turn directions

Basics:
Hwy 4 through Antioch
Take Hwy 160 towards Rio Vista
Cross the Antioch Bridge
Turn LEFT onto Sherman Island Levee Road (DO NOT take the right turn onto Sherman Island Levee Road soon after you exit the bridge)
Turn left again (@ the Deltal Windsurfing shop)
Follow Levee Road, past "The Sign" campground, Rio Viento campground (with a big windmill). Keep going as the road winds down, to the left, off the top of the levee and back up onto the top of the levee.
Go straight into "Sherman Island Access Park" (shown as "Sandy Beach Park" on Google Maps) and follow the road all the way to the end, near the boat ramp.

Fun evening! Thanks to everyone who made it happen. The whole meal was well done and organized, the wind was good (critically key for an event), an impressive crowd of old and many new faces, and... Faux Mojo... These guys were great, played two sets and seeing live music at SI was awesome. And thanks to DJ Guacamole for tying it all together with his music and video support. It was fun, thanks guys! MJ0_
