Re: Kite advice
I understand you are looking for a 12m though so the comment on the SwitchBlade II 8m has nothing to do with your quest....

Re: Kite advice
I am replacing my 12m, but have been enjoying my 9m recently. It is my smallest kite and I've found myself limited on a couple of real strong days. So, a 7m is also in my near future. All advice is appreciated. Thanks to all for opining.kitenaked wrote:I understand you are looking for a 12m though so the comment on the SwitchBlade II 8m has nothing to do with your quest....

Re: Kite advice
Any 9m or smaller kite is fun. If a kite sucks in those sizes, it is a seriously bad kite.kitenaked wrote:Small switchblade is super fun. 8m
Most companies are represented in the Bay. demo them all. You will find what you like. Any recommendation from anyone is bull$&*^. Everyone wants something different, you included.
I love my kites, but doubt you would as a beginner...but you just never know until you try them.

Nothing wrong with Mix-n-Match. I ride Caution and Starkites with a Best Redline bar. Don't care for the bar from either of my kite manufacturers. Works fine.

Any recommendation from anyone is bull...? Then all our words and advice is bull. Guess there is no use for this forum. :)

Re: Kite advice
If you have a 9m Obsession I would fill the quiver. I wouldn't mix and match kites, having the same type of kites in different sizes allows you to really dial in the kite. There is a reason 90% of kiters have matching quivers...
It's all kind of territorial. The Delta used to be swamped with North kites... The gorge is swamped with Slingy's... Santa Cruz is Caution only... The Bay has tons of RRD's. Basically all these kites dominate their areas cause of reps, shops, and beach deals. $$
Never wrong to get something local with good customer service and support. Support the Stoke.
One more thing. BEST is known for the girls, not the gear.
