Ok. So it didn't fall to 4knt. Cool. So the marker 10 works and the 14 is down.

Marker 14 works fine, the wind has not been going down there as much this season unless its the perfect direction. I have heard conspiricy theorys that the windmills are messing up the wind down there *bg&

Turbines change the wind..

strength, turbulence, and likely direction

Wake Effects.....

The thrust is the downwind loading on the turbine and this force converts directly into a loss of momentum (or speed) in the wake.

The wake from one turbine will be detrimental on the wind speed and turbulence at down wind turbines or sites like Little Baja.

I am sure they didnt do any studies of the downwind effect of wind to kiters / windsurfers....normally on new wind sites, they place large sensors to capture wind data to determine feasibility of a overall site and best location for individual turbines.

Would have been cool to study the sherman wind micro climate before and after the latest batch of turbines were put in.

So hold on, you're saying that both sensors are accurate and it was blowing 20mph 500 yards upwind at the marker 10 and actually blowing 6mph at the marker 14 at the same time?

Who cares what marker 14 reads? Marker 10 is accurate and no one kites down as far as marker 14 anyway.....
