What does everyone think of a thread or section on BAK specific to racing?

Similar to the Snowkiting Discussion....?

Gear
Tuning
Standings
Etc...

Yes, we should start a forum section. For a long time now, it seems that the race scene is such a insular community. More often than not, we get no updates or goings-on about racing here. I guess all the race folks are busy training or racing, but not much talk about it here which is odd as it's had a strong and growing presence locally in the last few years....

I'm moving to the Bay Area this week and would definitely be interested to hear about the race scene through this forum. Haven't seen a race before and would love to catch one soon! Might be a good idea to start a separate forum.
Rock and roll!!!

Absolutely not. Don't even go there... Single speed freewheeling trailbikes are ok, but fixies need to just go away...

Kites: 2020 F-One Bandit: 10m.
Board: 2018 F-One Slice 5'1 Surf/Foil convertible
Harness: Manera Union.
Wetsuit: Manera 5/4 X10D

https://www.facebook.com/SFKiteRacer
Has a calendar with all the race dates.
Also all the races at the StFYC have always been listed on their site for years.
http://www.stfyc.com/Default.aspx?p=Dyn ... 0724&vnf=1
Steve has always posted race recaps for years on this and other forums

If you are not into racing but want to find out more info go to Crissy during a Thursday night race and hang out. Or better yet call the Race Office and get out on 1 of the boats and help out!

A notable race at the end of the month is the Bridge to Bridge. This was the 1st race they let us get in on. We race against the Windsurfer, Skiffs and this year rumor has it an AC45 will be in it.

It's nice that Steve posts recaps, it's always appreciated and he does a great job. MJ0_
I think what others, and myself, agree to is that it makes sense for everything to be posted here, and that discussion or news about racing should have its own section here. True that there are other sources as you listed, but a) Not everyone is on Facebook (I left early, you all still have time too, think of the countless hours of useless time you've wasted) and b) I don't imagine many people frequent and hang out on the StFYC site and the listings there are for everything, not just kite racing...

We have a pretty full-featured Calendar here (https://www.bayareakiteboarding.com/forum/calendar.php) it's easy for people to use it and populate it.
