Heading off to Cabarete for two weeks. Anyone have any destination tips? Restaurants to go to? Places to see?

It's weird here. There's like 60-80 kites on the water. But only one or two pulling tricks (or even trying to jump) and like 1 or 2 trying to surf the break.

The skill level in the bay area (3rd, Sherman, Crissy, Waddell) is off the charts compared to Caberete.

When I have gone to El Yaque Margarita and Coche Venezuela there's been lots of skilled riders.

What's with all the lawn mowers here?

One thought I have is the water in Cabarete bay is really choppy/wavy. Not conducive for tricks.

Maybe I need to venture out and find the flat water spot.
