MOLOKA'I CHALLENGE SET FOR AUG. 13

The Moloka'i Challenge, a kiteboarding race from Maui across the Pailolo Channel, will be held Aug. 13.

The race will begin at 10:30 a.m. at two buoys near the Embassy Suites Hotel on Maui's upper west side, and will finish at Moloka'i's Kaunakakai Harbor, approximately 30 miles.

Entry fee is $125 per person, and teams of two or more are recommended.

The fee includes a race rash guard, rescue, lu'au and post-race party, ferry passage back to Maui, container space over and back.

Checks should be made out to Youth in Motion and sent to: Kiteboard Center, 96 Amala Pl., Kahului, HI, 96732.

WOW this might be an awsome race. Im definatly going to have to think about joining since i have a cousin who lives in Maui i will have a place to stay.
