Or why this summer is different from last summer
NWS this morning in the discussion section for Sacto:
Marine layer?? don't look to it for any relief too far inland
anytime soon. Above normal sea surface temperatures have resulted in more
shallow coastal marine layer's most of this Summer so far.

Can't complain
I think we're just going thru a hot spell. It is August afterall. You can still get your Jones fixed if you go late enough most days.
Yes, it seems like there are less classic thermal days where the fog is hugging the hills over Tunnel, but my most used kite is still a 10, so I surely can't complain. It's been good!

p.s. still waiting for that perfect 18-22 blowdryer wind day, you know, the one where the iwind graph draws a straight line?

Yeah, my most used kite has been my 10, too. Second would be my 17, except I didn't have a 17 until last week and then got one after I got sick of wishing my 14 was bigger.
However, I did have the perfect 14M session on Tuesday evening. Steady, smooth wind for 2 plus hours solid.
BTW, I wasn't complaining about the wind, just noting the difference. I'll reserve the complaints for the temperature in the Valley, which hasn't been below 100 now for like, a month. Now last year...
