Florida in early july..to bring the gear or not ???

Post by craickite » Tue Jun 12, 2012 10:16 pm

hello all,
San Francisco kiter here looking for info...
im going to be spending 4-5 days Boca Raton , Florida while my girlfriend is teaching a course then driving up to cocoa beach and back down to miami with not much to do from the 5th -14th july ..

its pretty much impossible for me to sit on the beach and do nothing plus i got Irish skin so i couldn't be bothered laying out reading a book..

to bring gear or not is my dilemma
..it shows on the stats the wind is fairly light that time of year..

so i know if i do bring a big kite if i do..think i can borrow a 14 m of a friend.

i looking for some info on the ground..Wheres the good spots ? any areas that pick up more wind ? anything to do instead of kiting ?? gear rental ??

any info would be much appreciated ??

Thanks

hehehe... leave it for two reasons.

1) zero wind.
2) you can rent there if you wanted. pm me i know a bunch of places to rent gear from. You can kite in nearly every beach, but i can also tell you where people go.. specially in s.fl. idk about Cocoa. Prolly as far north as west palm beach.

i'm actually from Boca : p

bring sun screen and start hydrating from now
