Resurrecting this because I'm planning my first La Ventana trip in early March. Won't have time to drive and it looks like Cabo has more flight options than La Paz - anyone have any details or expert advice on travel there? We want to avoid renting a car unless it's necessary. Planning to stay for 10 days or so.

Looks like most flights are out of SFO or LAX.

Thanks!
Pete

No real reason to fly into La Paz. Those flights are only 3 days a week and you have to connect through LAX negating any time savings for the drive to La Ventana. Nonstop daily flights to Cabo from SFO on Alaska, United, and Virgin America. Rental cars are cheap when reserved in advance and IMO worth it for the convenience. My wife and I can fit a golf bag, surfboard bag, two kite bags and two carry ons in a compact. You must buy Mex liability insurance, but your visa card provides insurance for the rental car.

I used http://shuttletolapaz.com in December to get to from Cabo to La Paz. Worked great and they even have free WiFi on the bus.
To get from LP to LV, just arrange a pick up or use a taxi or something.
