Wow. Not a total shock given all his health issues, but still, Jobs has been an icon since before I got into the computer industry long ago. Really drives home the point that life can be too short, even if you're a billionaire. Carpe diem (probably don't need to say that to kiteboarders ).

Since I make my living as an independent Apple IT guy, I guess it would be prudent to say thanks to Steve for allowing me to send my kids to private school all these years and have the kind of lifestyle that lets me kite as much as I do.

Thanks Steve. Couldn't be doing it without you...
