Tahoe in July

Post by kopatsy » Thu Jun 17, 2010 10:36 am

Hi,

I am going to be in South Lake Tahoe on July 9-11 and I was wondering if I should bring my gears up there.
- Can anybody tell me what the spots are (I read about Regan Beach) and the wind conditions?
- Will anybody else be up there?

Any info is appreciated.

Thanks

Arthur

the most useful gears will be the ones on your mountain bike. Tahoe in summer is not worth the effort unless you live there and have your ear to the ground, (and it's a novelty most times a year) just enjoy the beach and the mountains.

If you get a session at Tahoe in July you are a very lucky man. If you find success that day I would rush to liquor store for lottery ticket. It would clearly be your day.

Seriously, enjoy the lake or head down the road to Washoe. It blows there in the summer after 2ish, cool group of people there. Ikite sensor.

Thanks for the tips. I will bring my mountain bike then and head to Kirkwood.
