Gorge Kite Spots?

Postby WindMuch » Fri Jun 11, 2010 7:30 am

Hi All,

After windsurfing the Gorge for many, many years, I realized I'm not familiar with which spots have kite-friendly launches.

I'm heading North. Any suggestions for kiting the Gorge?

Many thanks,

I've only kited the Sandbar, but will be out for July 4 week and getting the full SS Factory Tour of the Gorge. :P :auto-rally: :auto-mysterymachine:

It's not central and closer to the coast, but I liked Jones Beach because plenty of sandy beach!

I have enjoyed kiting from Stevenson area thru town and east. Love the differenance in topography. My favorite is camping at Maryhill and kiting at Rufus. Yep. Adam knows, it's the shizz.

FYI good produce behind Maryhill campground, like real good.
