Kiteboarding on Television this Fourth of July!!

Post by jstjohn3 » Thu Jul 01, 2004 5:24 pm

June News
REAL Kiteboarding on your TV Sunday, July 4th...
Mark your calender and set your Tivo... REAL Kiteboarding is proud to announce our participation in taking kiteboarding to the mainstream and onto t.v. !

What: Outside Magazine's Ultimate Top Ten Adrenaline Pumping Sports Show

Where: Outdoor Life Network (OLN)

When: Sunday July 4th. Show airs 4 times:
11:30am
4:30pm
7:00pm
10:30pm

All shows are 30 minutes in length.

Who: REAL Kiteboarding riders Jason Slezak, Sam Bell, Nick Rodriguez, Zack Young, and Gregg Gnecco, along with top pro riders- Andre Phillip, Bertrand Fleury, Jeff Tobias, Moe Goold, Stav Niarchos, Ben Wilson and our visiting Aussie friends Beaver and Doyle.

This show is expected to be the best produced t.v. show featuring kiteboarding ever!

The piece was filmed on location, at "The Slick" and the REAL Kiteboarding lesson center in Waves, NC. While we have yet to see the finished edit, footage used for this piece includes the riding of the world's largest/longest slider ever built for kiteboarding- the 60' long 16' high "Camel Toe"

In addition to this massive structure, look for clips of these top riders tearing up the other features in the REAL Sliderpark, such as the "Deathstar", "Dragon" and "Triple-S", as well as some shots of Jason Slezak, doing his thing, by getting onto and sliding all of the docks and handrails in the Pamlico Sound!

This project was unique and exciting in that REAL Kiteboarding's in house media department- media@realkiteboarding.com, completed all of the on site production, including all kiteboarding and interview footage. The footage was then passed along to the OLN post production team for editing and final production.

Despite the numerous viewing times, I managed to miss this. Anyone see it? How was it?

Yeah, I was good. Had the TV on and completely forgot to watch it. I did have a fun session at Berzerkely between 5 and 6 yesterday, though!

Right on, you must have showed up shortly after I left. I was out from 2-4pm. Was on an 11, but should have been on the 13.5, but it was fun anyway.
