Yeay! Another brand most of us will never see or ride. It's a good thing they won the 2010 test magazines.

Kiteboarding continues to grow and expand as a sport because the "worldwide" community is unified through forums such as these. When was the last time you saw a television show dedicated to our sport? So the new information about gear and events only has magazines, word of mouth and forums as avenues for its dissemination.

So I for one appreciate the "Pigeon Crap Posts" keep em coming.
And Kitecrazy remember you may kite alone but you are not!

Let me guess.

Another massively stable kite that turns ultra fast, has unheard of depower, the best hangtime, ultimate kiteloops, 1 pump, surf tough!, inexpensive, designed by riders for riders, and it's Oprah approved.

I can understand wanting to make a kite but at what point does one see that this is a very saturated market. If one is to make something new it is going to have to have a major improvement that is patentable and "green" like making kites from recycled kites. It would be like starting a car company that competes with Toyota. You just cant steal the psychological loyalty of the masses without something major.

I was just going to keep my mouth shut but it is wierd to me how many new kites are showing up. but what do I know. Sorry to sound negative. All the best if you can do it. It would just be nice to see a product evolve from a new idea and not just recreate whats been done 1000 times.

The issue of me kiting "alone" or not is completely irrelevant to this thread. My post was not a personal attack on anyone so I see no need for you to make this a personal attack on me.

What the original poster did was advertise for free. Yea, it can be done. The admin obviously lets it happen. I just think its a shady way to operate (thus, they will not get positive response from me). Let's see if they ever respond to this thread again or ever post on this forum again. Not likely since they have no vested interest in the bay area. There are other local business guilty of using posting on here for free advertising but they at least have a vested interest in this locality...notice how this forum tends to respond more positively to free adverts from locals?
Mr. Horny's points summarize my thoughts well.

.
Kite crazy my comment was not meant as a personal attack! Sorry if you felt that way.
All I was trying to say is that yes we kite by ourselves (it is a solo sport after all as is kayaking for example), but at the end of the day there is a whole worldwide kite movement that supports each other (the not alone part) or should. I believe this should always be encouraged.
Aka. think globally act locally. Hope this helps clarify.
Again not personal. Happy winds to you bro :? :?

No worries man, thanks for clarifying.
I agree with you about thinking globally and acting locally.
My beef is with people who think "mooch globally and locally"
Tomorrow looks windy...we all need to go out and get some.
