Need a nice Kite surfing spot for january trip. (In the U.S)

Post by flyingpaddy » Tue Oct 13, 2009 8:56 pm

Hey there so it looks like my trip to Mexico can't happen this year :( . I was hoping to head to Los Barriles for a week in January but cannot now. I have to wait for my green card to be sent out so no international travel for me, not for now at least.

Just wonder where are some good nice spots in the U.S that would have some reliable wind around Jan or Feb  .

I am an intermediate kiter.

Thanks

I'm not sure if that has changed but when I was waiting for my green card they stamped my passport so that I could reenter if I wanted to travel.

Shuttles available upwind from Pittsburg and Sherman all summer. Come see what kiting west has to offer.

Waiting on my 10 yr green card and my lawyer advised me not to travel internationally until I receive it which could take anywhere from 2 months to a year. just gotta hang tight till it comes.

South parade sounds looks good.

How would one get there.
Where could I fly to??

Thanks

I have flown to Brownsville using Continental in the past but this year I'm flying into Harlingen because Southwest was about $100 cheaper for the ticket and no baggage fee. It was going to cost additional $80 each way for two bags on Continental.

Sonny, are you renting a car? I was just wondering if some of the kite shops or someone is running shuttles from Harlingen. What is it an hour or so drive? Maybe a bus like in LV?
