help for an out of towner

I'm from Dallas Texas and I'm looking for someone or a group of people to do some riding with on the 14th and 15th of this month in the Bay Area.

From what I've read, there's really only one place to go for someone at my skill level and that's Alameda beach. Unless someone can suggest another place. Bascially, I'm just about to the point where I can go upwind but I'm not quite there just yet.

I'm still a little nervous about riding alone in unfamiliar locations and would really appreciate some local help if anyone is willing to let me tag along or vice versa.

I assume I need a wetsuit to ride out there. I have a 3/2 suit. Will that suffice.

Thanks

Paul if the wind is blowing you won't be kiting alone at Alameda. Tons of guys with your skill level. Just ask about launch procedures, or look them up on this site.

A 3/2 will be plenty

Have fun

Paul, hopefully they'll be some wind at Alameda, it's a great spot, big beach that goes on downwind for quite a bit. If the wind is good, you may even break into upwind mode!
