Sunday 4/17 - Sherman Island

Post by OliverG » Sat Apr 16, 2005 8:40 am

So far, Sherman Island looks good for Sunday. The fog should be rolling in tonight and with the pressure gradient Zeev spoke of, it all adds up to good news for the Delta.

If it's going Sunday morning and you can go, head on out, it should be a killer day. =D>

If it's cranking in the morning, I'll be heading out first thing and stay most of the day wind providing. Hoping for a couple of long sessions!
Now at 4:15 it's blowing 18W, will likely ramp up and blow all night.

I'll be heading out to Sherman at about 2pm. Things look good!!! I've had some wind every day off for the past 3 weekends!!! It's going to be a good year!!!

What time would you go for a morning run?

Did you look at the wind up there? The number is nice but it looks like it was all over the map in gusts and direction... It will not be the Sherman we know and love in the summer....

I'd like to go to SI for a great session again. Let's hope for good winds! I went to 3rd for the first time for actually kiting but my 9m had leaky valve so I didn't go out, instead I helped launching/landing and watched people kiting in/out. It was definitely a good experience observing today. Looked horribly gusty over there. Maybe winds would be better tomorrow!
