Here's a sneak peak of our new line of Custom directionals, both Race and Surf. These boards are custom made to order (delivery in 10-14 days), available in any size, right here in California! We've been testing the 5'10 Race extensively at Crissy and will have a fleet of these on the water for the upcoming Cabrinha series. The Surf has been put through the paces at Waddell and in the Bay and we are super stoked on the results.
We are in the process of updating our web page with details and ordering information, but for now your local dealer Windydevil has all of the information and will be happy to process your orders.
I am also uber stoked to unofficially announce the addition of North Shore ripper Bryan Lake to our International team. Bryan rips both strapless on both skim and surf, and has been putting our '09 Diablo C kite to the test on Oahu! Bryan is playing an integral role in the development of our future wave and race line of boards and kites - we are lucky to have him on board the Crew.

We are stoked to be adding these to the our line up as well.
We all know how well the WindyDevil race board did at the end of the season last year.
Just take a look at Evan placement and you can tell the 1st race he had it :)
This is just the refinement needed.
After riding this board yesterday I am finally going to ride a directional for racing!

I tried the new OR race board a few days ago...it screams upwind and downwind!! Awesome! I just ordered one and looking forward to using it during the races this season.

The race board makes such a huge difference. There really is no comparison. I was one of the last converts from the first race season where people were still using twin tips and even though skill plays a role, the gear really takes over. At this point, I can only do so well, and it's strictly because of the boards.
The regular directional board would still do well in the races too I'd imagine.

Talking smack won't get you anywhere, you best bring it on this season. :-({|=
A couple more images of the boards. Race is available in sizes 5'4 to 6'2, and the Surf is available in sizes 5'8 to 6'4.

Got to ride both of these as well.
The OR race board is really fast and way more comfortable to ride than most of the 3 strap race boards out there. These are way easier to go fast downwind and you can ride toeside if you need to without a problem. Definitely the choice for making the easy transition from a regular surfboard to a race board.
The 6" surf is fast, turns quick and has a ton of grip.
