I biked around the salt ponds on the East Bay by the Dunbarton Bridge last weekend. They are almost a perfect setup, unfortunately wildlife refuge and doesn't sound like we could ride there. Still, almost a perfect setup like sombody designed it for kiting. If they opened it up to the Bay a bit to keep fresh water going through it would be pretty much perfect. You would have to bike in though.

Bay seriously needs a setup like Pleasure Bay in Boston with a low wall to break the chop, but allow the wind in. I say Google should build one or buy a couple of lagoons from the state over across the Dunbarton...!

Thanks for all the replies. I live around Palo Alto and would love to ride with local folks, so drop me a line. Also, which shops are the best around here?

Thank You

I love the guy at the very end who drops his board with his board leash on it..
