If I knew there were so many freebies around, I could have saved two sets of kites:) Well, I brought two bars to try my new 1:1 setting at upper launch place in light wind (late)...and found that bar. I am still hoping someone would return my board that I lost two months ago.

Wow, Short on cash. Hang out at 3rd and in the span of a month you could be fully equipped

So how did the 1:1 new setup work for you?

Felt Okay. Definitely less bar pressure. I was able to fly it for about one minute or so. The wind was too weak to keep it up. Looking forward to a real session with the 1:1. Thanks for the help. By the way, I didn't find the "Back Bridal Line" as mentioned in the step 1 in http://www.ikiteboarding.com/kiteboardi ... rsion.aspx :-k

Tom, where were you when I lost my board at 3rd?:-)
anyway I found a pair of wired rim sunglass and also a short board cord that attaches to the Ocean Reel leash. I posted on the forum but no one claimed for it so I'll turn in at the Helm shack. maybe if no one claims it by the season's end then we should raffle them for a charity:-)

I found it's easier to make a list of items and just remember the total number. Run through the checklist before going home. For example, I have total 11 items as listed below
1. Kite
2. Kite leash
3. Board
4. Board leash (I only use it when swim to shore)
5. Bar
6. Harness
7. Pump
8. Websuit
9. Booty
10. Impact Vest (PFD)
11. Helmet

You can add other items too, such as Hook Knife and Glove. Just add 1 or 2 to the total.

Hope this helps.

We lost a bar

Post by skysalr » Mon Aug 25, 2008 10:14 am

We just realized yesterday that we are missing a 2008 North bar and lines. We must have left it at 3rd about a month ago. Did you by any chance find a North bar? The one we lost has one of the 'flat' iron hearts. Red on one side, black on the other, with poly-coated leads.
