I was shipping from Canada over to Africa and it is very cost prohibitive... Like I said in my previous post, let the winners cover the cost. I am sure that all the winners would be more than happy to shell out a few bucks for a new kite!

If I am fortunate to win a prize I would be happy to cover the shipping costs.

skypilot, what country are you talking about?

P.S: I think you should open the contest to the whole world. Just add a note saying that people living outside of the US will have to pay shipping in case they win. Just a sugestion...

It's a little tough. I posted some info on kiteforum about the contest and I got what were basically some half-assed submissions. Some examples - One was a one paragraph submission about basically nothing and one was an article someone did in the past for another website. So the lure of free gear and prizes can also stimulate submissions void of content or previously published articles. Not really in the spirit of it all IMHO. The whole point of the contest is to show that there are sponsors out there who are willing to put up some great prizes for those who are willing to contribute and support Bay Area Kiteboarding by taking part in the exchange of information and experiences in the form of engaing, informative and useful articles.

Speaking of winners, did you get a chance to fly it yet?

Yes, it's still safe and sound in my closet in the bag. I haven't even snuck it out to fly it! Anytime you want it Blair, let me know. If you want to pay for shipping, I can always send on up anytime you like.
