New Firefox web browser update

Post by pipedragon » Wed Mar 02, 2005 12:19 pm

For those of you using Firefox there is a new update that speeds up web browsing even more and fixes some bugs. If you have not tried Firefox yet give it a go. It is free and 5 times faster then Internet explorer without all the spyware!!=D>

Thanks!

I totally agree with pipedragon, if you haven't tried it, give it a go. Most websites work with the occasional glitch. My dad had his computer infested with spyware and all that stuff, after I reinstalled everything I instructed him to use Firefox as his default browser, and only to use IE if there was a specific site that wasn't working.

If you read forums, the tabbed browsing alone is worth the time to download/install. Hold down your ctrl key and click a link, it will open up a new tab instead of a new window.

Yup. Similar to NS 7.2, but lighter/faster. Highly recommended

ok, I too will add my recommendation for Firefox ... and one very interesting thing about it is what they call "Extensions" ... the ability for individual people (and not necessarily developers) to add functionality ... so the end-user can "pick and choose" functionality ... very cool

I like Firefox, but on OSX I found in the earlier version that it wasn't rendering all the tables quite right. Does this site look right in Firefox?

Ok, I'll get the new version, the update has probably fixed any anomalies...
