Looks like snow tonight and most likely snow with light winds tomorrow...tough call. I'll be working, so you won't see me out there.andyandmarlys wrote:welll.. i went kiting today at grasslake... very gusty... but i kited on my 13 and 9 ss fuels.... they fell alot... but so did others with foils....relaunching wasnt as bad as i thought it might be... pretty easy water to snow transition..... looking for another spot with better wind for tomorrow
I went by Grass Lake today but the wind direction was a bit funky and it looked pretty gusty. I continued down the hill to Hope Valley and got a nice long 10 m session there. It got a bit shifty at the end but was fun for a couple hours.

Follow the same rd (89) all the way to 88. Take a right. About a 1/4 mile or less on the right is a large pullout. You park there and walk out a ways.andyandmarlys wrote:is hope valley beyond grass lake on the same road? how far and how will i know im there?
You can kite the whole valley. There's a couple passes across the big creek that are snow Just make sure you have plenty of power when you cross them. you won't get wet unless you stop in the middle. There are a lot of little creeks that you can jump.
Have fun.
