call for 12/1?

Post by mfremont » Sat Dec 01, 2007 9:45 am

Sunday looks like it will be strong up and down the coast, but today leaves me guessing.

The computer models on ikitesurf don't look that promising.

NWS marine coastal forecast is generally for NW 15-25 knots decreasing to 10-20 knots as a ridge builds in later this afternoon.

Winds at the bouys have been decreasing over the early morning, so is this the sign of the ridge building already? That said, SF and Bodega show a slight uptick in the past hour. Ft Funston is reporting 17mph, so OB is probably working now.

So what is the call?

Though I couldn't get out today (the nerve of my 8 year old son to have his birthday today) it looks like it was really good a Folsom on a South wind. Bet the Folsom crew was on 9m all day...

Well I got the hall pass for tomorrow and will hit it with my friends as they are calling for 15 to 25 from the S at a nice 58 degrees. Come on out and join us.

Rich, it was fucking cold but 12/14m wind today at Folsom. I miss kiting in board shorts at Costa Rica! Tomorrow looks to be much better though.
