Waddel Creek Event?

Post by Hana » Tue Jan 18, 2005 12:38 pm

Does anyone know if Waddel Creek Event is happening this year? I went to girls kite camp in Ishigaki Island, Okinawa, Japan in December organized by Tomoko Okazaki. She really wants to come to Waddel to ride waves. Please let me know if anyone know!

It was canceled last year. So probably not gonna happen. We will know around March if it is on again.

Wasn't this sponsored by Wipika in previous years? If it's going to happen again, it will likely need new sponsors....

Weak! Can't even get an industry sponsor for one of the best venues in the West? Sad really.

Oh man, now we gotta sponsor this now too?! We'll need volunteers for sure. Waddell Creek Kite Clash sponsored by KillaHz, KbMag, UN and Bay Area Kiteboarding. I think if we pool our money we can get a PortaPotty or two! I might be able to get Best to send out some of the Best girls, the Caution guys will love them....

I'd volunteer as long as I don't have to wear an ill fitting t-shirt.

I'm sure my roommates and I would be willing to volunteer as well -- we're still fired-up about getting into the sport whence the season begins. No ill fitting t-shirts either please. sweetness.
