The kites are in the truck.
The tank is full.
The afternoons are..."open" (Oye, donde se fue el jefe?)
Reasons will be found to make frequent stops by the house to check Ikite.

If it blows, I will go.

Hope you guys are right about the coast going off.

Yeah, it's starting to look like Tuesday is THE day this week to kite (If you missed Sunday, that is).

"The Man" says wind goes offshore Tuesday night and stays that way until Sunday.

I hope "The Man" is wrong, but I'm clearing my schedule for tomorrow.

So they're backing off on the coastal forecast -- 20-30 at lunchtime, now down to 10-20, but the wind has built at the buoys since sundown. I'm choosing to taking the latter as a good sign.

Okay, they keep changing it back and forth between N and NW for Weds/Thurs. And last night they were saying Tuesday was going to be 20-30 NW. Now they're down to 10-20. The Marine forecast guys can still be "right" even if that wind never makes it to shore (It was blowing 18 at the buoys at 6 pm tonight):

an offshore flow will set up ushering
in a warming trend beginning on Wednesday. The offshore surface
pressure gradients will produce potentially strong northeasterly
winds in the north and East Bay hills with the 00z run of the WRF
model increasing the 925 mb winds to over 40 knots over eastern Napa
County by Wednesday morning. Thus...a Fire Weather Watch has been
issued for midnight tomorrow night through Wednesday afternoon for
the north and East Bay hills. Winds are expected to diminish during
the day Wednesday as the high weakens...but periodic light offshore
flow is forecast to occur at times through the rest of the week.

Hey Z, don't forget to turn your lawn sprinklers on before you head off to the coast!
