Alameda this Saturday?

Post by gman100 » Fri May 19, 2006 12:43 pm

I am going to Alameda this Saturday. I've had my water lessons and have my new kite and board. Want to see if anybody else will be out there this saturday for some guidence. Also wondering what time of day people are usualy there in hopes of getting some wind. Also does the forcast of showers put a damper on things at all?

and if it's not blowing 15 you may want to take your girlfriend/wife/pet out instead of your kite :)

It was really good yesterday. Very unexpected but it picked up around 4 till 6pm. I was powered on my 13.5m for at least an hour. It was a very good day.

Glad you got some!
Even an hour is better than none, although I'm not sure an hour spike qualifies for a good day.

Looks like something may be happening there today. Hopefully not another one hour gig.

I was a good day considering the shitty forecast. Even a half of good riding is a good day in Alameda :).

Just got back from OB....kited from about 4pm for an hour or so on a 12m shockwave....kinda sketchy but good fun considering it seems like the first wind I've managed to catch for ages...a fair few kites out though.

...here's hoping it picks up throughout the week!
