So, anyone who gets excited by 20mph winds at Alameda, dont leave work just because the sensor reads 15-20. We need that thing to show 20+ for a kiteable day with the new sensor position.

The weekend is starting to look pretty, um, weak for the Delta. A)t least that's my read on the current forecast (Marine layer struggling to get to 1000 ft. on Friday)

Looks like the wind might stay in the Bay. The beach at Pt. Emerito might get kinda crowded if everyone from SI is lauching there.

Personally I think it ought to be a "King of the moutain" situation.
I 'm going to be standing on the log seat (the highest point at Pt. Em) ready for any/all takers!
So bring it on, if we dont get any wind at least we'll get some exercize wrestling !!!
Gregeee (Oh-ya dont hurt me, I'm getting kinda old)

PF, you localist! Next thing you know, you'll be keying cars of the "outsiders".

Can someone do something about the traffic? Alot of days, the wind at Berkeley seems to blow exactly and only during rush hour.

That's my problem too. Berekely is closer to me than SI, but the traffic is more than I could bear after driving all day. I have tons of studying to do and work around the house to keep me busy on no wind days. I better start banking them now.

blow, blow, blow, blow

How far is the closest BART station to Pt. Emerito? :?

What's wierd is that it's blowing about 10 SW at my place, which normally means SHerman is blowing 20. It's still 93 frickin degrees, though.

Looks like the same pattern for the weekend -- wind in the bay but not the Delta.
