Fog

Post by zgur » Tue May 09, 2006 10:53 pm

is cool, wet and windy (most of the time).....we are getting our spring, it's just coming in late this year....you see mother nature just wanted to give me some time to heal before the wind machine was turned on......

last few days have been classic spring pattern - with NPH jamming along the coast/3rd/crissy. The coast has been on for many days in a row.....

Looks like some fog coming in tomorow and thurs - delta should be nice. The coast is still on fire.....

Get some. Z.

Not sure why the GG Bridge wasn't sounding off this morning. You couldn't see past it and they would normally have it on.

It looks like Thursday is the day for the Delta. They're backing off pretty hard from the "cooling trend" they were predicting yesterday, though. I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing. If it stays hot enough without N flow, the Delta will keep humming along, but these N wind days like today (the hottest days this time of year for us) kill off the solid wind at SI.

Through the weekend they're calling for "continued average daily temperature increases". Isn't 93 hot enough for May?

waffling forecast

Post by zgur » Wed May 10, 2006 11:49 am

Funny, saw the same thing "THE W-E GRADIENT HAS EASED AS WELL AND THE 12Z NAM INDICATES ONSHORE GRADIENTS WILL RAMP UP ONLY SLOWLY TODAY AND SO EXPECT THE SEABREEZE TO DEVELOP LATE." Translates to late sesh at Crissy/3rd, not sure about Berk.....

Thursday-Sat will be nice at SI, whatever wind comes will be really steady, as it's thermal. Good time to work on stuff.....if you are so inclined.

The coast is doing it's thing too, with wind & waves.

Get some, Z.

94 degrees in the Valley and blowing NE.

104 on the tractor...

Any Delta breeze at all would be killer...
