When you take the D-U-H out of Bush all that's left is the B-S. Pray for the common good my brothers and sisters. It's a critical political moment I assure you.

Oh well.....

Post by OliverG » Wed Nov 03, 2004 7:47 am

Oh well, it appears there's no underestimating the ignorance of the masses.

Unfortunately, it's looking like we can look forward to another 4 years of asshole Bush and his Administration in the White House. Some of the things we can look forward to:

- Further erosion of the US Dollar (just look at the Canadian dollar and Euro, we're fucked)

- Further erosion of human, civil and womens rights

- Massive spending to fund a bogus war and more soldiers getting killed

- Conservative, Right Wing Christian-backed Congress and Administration

- And much, much more - trust me, this country is moving backwards, while the rest of world, notably the ever-increasing EU is moving progressively forwards.

- A President incapable of intelligent, properly structured grammatical statements. http://www.bushisms.com

Congratulations, America, here's your man....hip, hip, hooray
Does this look like the person you want as President? Seems that for many it is! http://www.bushisms.com/salute.jpg

"No matter what anyone says, George can read†
†a Teleprompter. Thus, he showed that he has all†
†of† the capabilities necessary to be an American†
†president in the Information Age."†http://www.bushisms.com/bushSmirk1.jpg

KARL ROVE,† Bush's long-time political guru and White House advisor:
"As people do better, they start voting like Republicans...†
...unless they have too much education and vote Democratic,†
†which proves there can be too much of a good thing."

As I retire to my shell-shocked state and search my wardrobe for an all-black outfit to wear for all of November, I'll leave you with a small sampling of the eloquence of our President. Enjoy.

--Thanks, Michael.

"They said this issue wouldn't resignate with the People. They've been proved wrong, it does resignate." ("resonate"?!)

"I believe a military of high morale is conducive to keeping the peace..."

"A surplus means there'll be money left over.† Otherwise, it wouldn't be called a surplus."
-- Kalamazoo, MI† 10/27/2000 - Jack

If we are going to save a generation of young people, our children must know they will face bad consequences for criminal behavior. Sadly, too many youths are not getting that message. Our juvenile justice system must say to our children: We love you, but we are going to hold you accountable for your actions. --Bush campaign literature.†
(Mr. Dubya: should† you be held accountable for your youthful indiscretions when you were a 30 year old "child"?!)

"I'm not going to talk about what I did as a child. What I am going to talk about -- and I am going to say this consistently -- [is that] it is irrelevant what I did 20 to 30 years ago. What's relevant is that I have learned from any mistakes I made. I do not want to send signals to anybody that what Gov. Bush did 30 years ago is cool to try."
--Gov. Bush in an interview with WMUR-TV in New Hampshire, when asked if he had used "drugs, marijuana, cocaine"†

"I don't want nations feeling like that they can bully
ourselves and our allies. I want to have a ballistic defense
system so that we can make the world more peaceful, and at
the same time I want to reduce our own nuclear capacities to
the level commiserate with keeping the peace."
óDes Moines, Iowa, Oct. 23, 2000

While speaking about KIPP Academy in Houston, Texas during the debate

"It's a school full of so-called at-risk children. It's how we,
unfortunately, label certain children. It means basically they
can't learn.† ...† It's one of the best schools in Houston."
So he thinks that "at-risk" means "can't learn?"† And that one of the
best schools in Houston is filled with students that can't learn? What an idiot. (Thanks Derek Brandon)

†††† The disparaging words could not be heard by most observers over

Yup, we're f@#*ed. Worse than that, my kids are going to have to pay for all this misdirected aggression overseas.

Isn't there a valid case for intellectuals in American leadership? How about a bright president with insight and wisdom during times like this when facing a myriad of complex issues?

Let's just go kiting and leave this mess to the cynical, grumpy old men. They'll have prostate problems soon enough.

My wife and I really do wish we were more mobile and that we weren't so rooted with our work and by owning a home. I would love to leave, but it just wouldn't be that feasible unfortunately. :(

Considering that many presidents are more cautious in their first term, who knows what we can expect in this second term, but we will all suffer.

Oh, here's a picture of Bush made from the faces of 1,100 dead soldiers who died serving our president who's made our country more, not less, dangerous by his actions. It's a pity that so many people in this country can be swayed by the waving of a flag. It's a pity that so many don't give any thought as to why America is disliked by so many in the world. It's a pity that we have to endure four more years of Blood for Oil, corporate and religion-sponsored special-interest politics and ignorance in our society. It's a sad day.
