Yuri brought up the subject not me:
I put togather a pump for the shack last year. I even offered to plumb and wire it and of course BUILD A SOUND BOX! Sure it wasent pretty but it was pretty quite. No it didnt have a seperator but one could have been added for 20 or 30 bucks BLA BLA BLA... It ante about the money!
This was another one of my fruitless efforts to KINDLY PERSUIDE get people to read and follow the "guide lines" posted on the shack...
My suggestion: get a Bigger Pump with a metal shaft. Any attempt to set up an auto pump is a HUGH WASTE OF TIME, forget the money!
Besides:
If you've got that loving feeling and want to spend some of that money burning a hole in your pocket, might I suggest getting the guide lines re-printed on a water proofed board along with a proper diagram of the launch area... THAT would really go along way with the parks dept! THAT would also be a solid investment in the kite communty,
Greg

black tape--???? like black duct tape. Here is what I know about tape-there is the kind you use for paper (x-mas, birthdays, letters) there is the kind you use for packing (clear and hard to cut) and the kind you use for kidnapping (duct tape)

If you're talking about the hose for the pump, I had mine crack and super glued the cracks, then covered with electrical (black) tape.
If you need to get supplies, there is also a type of tape used for plumbing, but not sure if that would work on flexible plastic very well.
On the plus side, if you have a really small (like pinhole sized) hole in the hose, it seems to make stopper balls seat because of the small amount of air being released.
