OB Video Saturday 11/26

Post by OliverG » Mon Nov 28, 2005 6:09 pm

So I was able to thrust a video cam into Josh's hands who was monkeying around on the beach with a mountain board and he got some footage of us kiting. Due to obvious limitations, no footage of much from the outside where it was big but it made for some fun video.

Check it out by clicking here.

Thanks again to Josh for getting the video. Chip is on the Green Type Wave, I'm on the White Type 7 , I don't know who was on the other kites at the time, (if it's you, speak up!) and Queens of the Stone Age provide the tunes.

Let's look forward to the next one!

Ollie

Wow, as shaky as my footage was, I thought it'd be worse! :) Probably fixed by some masterful editing. Thanks Ollie, that was fun, I think I started getting the hang of it towards the end?

I think Jeff Kafka was out on a blue type wave, not sure if I got any of him toward the end.

There was a second of Pablito and a few more of Dewey..

My friend Jon was taking some pictures, I'll try to get them from him.

I get "the required compressor cannot be found", any idea where I can find it and how to install it?

It probably uses the H.264 codec that's only available in Quicktime 7+. It worked fine on the computer I had with QT7, but did the same thing you mentioned when I tried it on QT6.

Quicktime 7 is the codec used to compress it and it works rather well. Compressed a 120MB movie down to around 11MB with good results.

G*d, that looks like a blast! Picking your way through the boiling waters -- very neat! Thanks!
