Hey,
I'm still fairly new to kiting in the bay area and
simply want to get out in the water more often.

I'd consider myself to be about intermediate - can self-rescue,
ride upwind, small jumps, etc.
Since moving to the west coast, I've only ridden at Alameda,
but am looking to trying out 3rd ave, sherman, and am really looking
to progress to riding at Crissy ( I feel a little intimidated still )

I'm looking for a buddy that lives in (preferably) the city (I live in the mission) to
share rides with, encourage riding, and help keep an eye on me (and I'll do the same in return). I can also ride almost any weekend (and possibly some weekdays in the evening).

I have gear and a car!
Feel free to PM or write in the thread.

Just come down to the local kiting spots and introduce yourself and in no time you will have tons of kite buddies :)

I'm coming out to SF for the weekend to Kite. Staying in the Mission and was thinking about hitting 3rd Ave in the morning and possibly Sherman Island in the afternoon.

I live not too far from Crissy, and ride there sometimes, but am probably around the same skill level as you. I'm happy to drive and share rides out of the city to find wind at 3rd, Alameda, or wherever. Feel free to PM me and we can exchange contact info.

try it the other way around. Ive kited sherman as early as 7 am and then when it dies down during mid day thats when 3rd picks up. makes for a pretty epic day.

I have a similar situation, fairly new to the sport, been kiting at Crissy and Sherman mostly. I live in the Marina. Thinking about heading out to Sherman on Sunday if anyone wants to ride share.
