I am new to the area and learning how to kiteboard. I live near Folsom, and have a couple old as dirt kites I am learning and having fun with.

Does any body know any good places near Folsom to kiteboard? Also, if anyone is interested in carpooling to the bay one of these weekends, hit me up.

Folsom lake gets some wind sometimes. Search the forums to see some threads where people are talking about going. I went once. I think the season for Folsom lake might be over.

Check those threads to see who kites Folsom, and PM them for rideshares

Folsom is good on pre and post storm winds. Clearing winds from the north seem to be most popular...
I know that there are regulars at Sherman Island who come from Folsom.
There is also some kiting at Thermalito afterbay near Oroville.
