I'm trying to understand the combination of wind and tide that makes a "great" day at 3rd. I've kited both third and Coyote when I visited the area and the difference between high/low and ebb/flood was noticeable. Also curious about wind direction variation between West and WNW and conditions.
All comments appreciated.
Also new to the area

Re: Also new to the area
high tide and ebbing is obviously better, but be mindful of the launch cove: lots of rocks underwater this season.
Don't go if it's west at the launch: makes the wind really gusty. WNW is your friend.
Cheers.
