Hi, I recently acquired a Naish Ride 12m and I was wondering where the best place to learn would be. I already been practicing with a 3m trainer, but I definitely need to get out on the water before the season is over. I live in Stockton, so if anyone is in the area, I dont mind buying some beers or whatever is needed to get some good pointers :)
Cheers!

Get some lessons. They're not cheap but they are very necessary. Everyone on here will say the same thing. 12m out of control kite will land you in the hospital if one itty bitty thing isn't setup correctly.

Thanks guys!
Lessons is definitely my top priority on the list. Where would the best beginner place be?

Sherman Island is easily reachable from Stockton and has great conditions for learning if and only if you go out with an instructor or later for assisted downwinders.

Check for lessons here: http://www.edgekiteboarding.com/

Once youve had lessons you can ride the lighter conditions at woodward reservoir in oakdale.

How is it Woodward as far as launching conditions? I've been there plenty of times but havent seen any kiters out there yet.
