places to en route to La Ventana

Can anyone recommend some places to try kiteboarding that are consistent this time of year on the way down to La Ventanna from San Diego?

Also does anyone know of any rockclimbing areas on the way as well?

Check San Felipe out. If I understand correctly of we have high pressure inland in (the four corners?) we get East winds in CA and that means it's epic in San Felipe...?
