caribbean in december?

On a 7 day cruise to Grand Cayman, Isla Roatan, Belize and Cozumel starting December 6th. I'd like to bring kiting gear. Any info? Do I even have a chance?

Avg windspeed for that time of year is looking pretty weak according to windfinder...Was thinking I'd just take the 13m but maybe just the 16? Or hope for a storm and go for the 9? Is it better to rent?
